These were my Lovely new Lightweight specs after just one day on the dashboard of a boat.
A thousand dollars worth, that Insurance had paid out for.
The scratches were exactly in the centre of my vision.
After much research, I found that all plastic lensed specs had an antiglare coating - Yours almost certainly has.
This coating is very soft .This is what scratches so easily.
Remove this, and I could see again.
I found a product, made in America, that all these bloggers reckoned fixed their own glasses.
Actually, an etching compound, for glass.
But plastic lenses are safe with it.
Had to have a go, managed to buy some.
Tried it on a corner I don't look through, took my heart in my mouth, and painted my expensive specs !

Washed off the horrible goo, and yes, the glasses are as clear as!
Actually needed a couple of coverings to get the full benefit.
The anti glare missing doesn't seem to make any difference.
I did not need to do the inside, so that still has antiglare
Have done quite a few pairs of my specs, and mates who heard about it.
I can repair yours, if you like.
Takes about an hour and a half, so I reckon $42.00 inc gst and freight back is reasonable.
Anyway, give me an email, I will help in any way I can.
I am not an optometrist, but as an engineer, I find the process quite enthralling.
